These 5 foods are considered as being healthy by most of the people but in reality are making you gain fat.
#1 Whole Wheat Bread
Everybody knows that white bread is bad for you and that you should stay away from it but a lot of people believe that whole wheat bread is actually good for you.
In reality it’s not much more different than white bread because it has a lot of calories, carbohydrates and it doesn’t have a lot of fiber.
Instead, eat more brown rice because it has more fiber and it makes you fuller so you don’t get as hungry as you usually would if you eat these empty calories found in whole wheat bread.
The best alternative is to stay away from bread in general and choose to eat lean meat, fruits, vegetables and all unprocessed foods that can be find everywhere, especially in markets where all the food is fresh.
#2 Fruit Juice
We are all taught as kinds that fruit juice is good for you but if you really think about it, fruit juice does have a lot of sugar and it has no fiber and fiber is like one of the best things that you can find in fruits.
If you drink let’s say a glass of orange juice which is very normal to drink in the morning, do you know how many oranges it takes to make a glass of orange juice?
It takes around 6 oranges depending of their sizes. You rarely see somebody sit down and eat like 6 oranges at a time, but when you drink a glass of orange juice it is probably equivalent to 6 oranges.
Now you see, this can mean that you are overeating and can make you gain fat really fast. No matter what foods you eat even they are healthy or not, if you overeat them it will be bad for you.
Fruit juice is so easily over consumed because people think that it is “just juice”.
The best alternative is to eat real fruits instead of drinking fruit juice.
If you really want to lose weight, the best thing is to stick to drinking water because it is good for you, it hydrates you and has zero calories.
# 3 Granola
These foods are tricky because they are the best out of the bad foods. But, they are still not really good when it comes to losing weight.
Granola is high in fat, calories, sugars and carbs so it is pretty much high in everything although it is the granola and because it is so high in everything it’s not good for you to eat when in the process of losing weight.
When you are eating cereals, of course that you drink milk with it which is not good for you when it comes to losing fat.
As a good alternative, you can eat oatmeal at the breakfast because there is no sugar added and you can add you favorite fruits to enhance the taste.
#4 Sports Drinks
This includes pretty much all the sports drinks on the market like Gatorade, Powerade, Vitamin water and so on.
It is so confusing because we all watch commercials and see our favorite athletes sweating, and on their game and shows you a bottle of sports drink and encourage people to drink that because it will get you the energy you need.
Sports drinks are made for athletes and not meant for regular people because athletes burn so much calories and energy when competing and training and they really need it to prevent muscle loss.
Normal people like us don’t work out every day like athletes do and we do not need to drink sports drink because if you drink it and you are not an athlete, you are going to get fat really fast.
The best alternative is to drink a lot of water and if you want more energy try to eat bananas 35 minutes before every workout session or after it ends because it has a lot of potassium and it will give you a lot of energy and natural vitamins.
#5 Organic Junk Food
Organic junk food is the food that they sell at those healthy food stores. We all think that they are actually good because are advertise like so, but in reality they are not.
Example of organic junk food: organic pizza, organic potato chips, organic donuts, organic muffins and so on.
Try to stay away from these because it will only help you gain more pounds on your body.
The best alternative is to stay away from organic and regular junk food all together if you want to really lose weight.
Keep in mind that just because you are cutting out junk food now it doesn’t mean you can’t eat junk food for the rest of your life.
You want to cut it off during the time you are trying to reach your goal, the time you are trying to lose fat and get in shape.
After you get to your desired weight first and once you are there you can eat a little junk food from time to time because you are there already, to the point where you have achieved your weight loss goal.
